DP Communication Controller APC3 is an ASICs chip for PROFIBUS DP intelligent slave station development. APC3 supports the DPV0 part of the PROFIBUS DP standard.

DP Communication Controller APC3 Compatibility:
Under the condition of 3.3v working voltage, it is fully compatible with the VPC3 operating in DPV0 mode.
It is fully compatible with SPC3 operating in DPV0 mode except for the operating voltage
Processor Interface:
Support Intel and Motorola two processor interface mode; The interface MODE can be configured through XINT/MOT and MODE pins.
With a synchronous/asynchronous 8-bit data interface and an 11-bit address bus, users can directly manipulate internal dual-port RAM
DP Communication Controller The clock:
APC3 needs to provide a 48MHZ external clock;
APC3 can output 24M/12M clocks to external processors
Software interface:
APC3 integrates 1.5k dual-port RAM, which is mainly used for the interface between APC3 and software;
Dual-port RAM is divided into 192 segments, each containing 8 bytes.Software operates on two-port RAM in segments
Status indication:
The MAC State in APC3 can be queried at any time through the State register, such as Offline/ passive-idle, dp-state, wd-state, Baud rate State, etc.
Various external events can be obtained through the interrupt request register to obtain relevant data, such as user extension parameter data
Baud Rate Identification:
APC3 can automatically recognize baud rates in the range of 9.6Kbps~12Mbps.
The baud rates were 12M, 6M, 3M, 1.5m, 500k, 187.5k, 93.75k, 45.45k, 19.2k, 9.6k, BPS
